SATURDAY JUNE 15TH TO SATURDAY JUNE 22ND 2024

For Teachers

Congratulations on what you do for your music students.

Thank you for your support of and participation in the Lower Clarence Music Eisteddfod.

Teachers are asked to encourage and assist students to take responsibility for their own entries to the Music Eisteddfod, particularly those of a more senior age. The Official Entry Form must be completed fully and correctly, be accompanied by a cheque or money order for all required fees and be submitted preferably by post to our postal address:

The Secretary
Lower Clarence Music Eisteddfod
PO Box 35. Maclean NSW 2463

Please ensure that ALL required fees are included in the amount eg. the
“Administration Fee”. Entry Forms and the appropriate fee/s may also be placed in the provided container at the Maclean Music Academy.

Fees may also be paid through internet banking. The “Reference” must be completed and must be the entrant’s name.

The Committee will not accept responsibility for cash sent in the mail.

Entries CLOSE FRIDAY MAY 10th

Please be aware of the rules pertaining to late entries: Rule 7.7; and that pertaining to requests for modification to an entry: Rule 7.9

In some cases, a teacher may want to submit entries for a number of students from their teaching studio. In this situation the teacher must ensure that all entries are submitted at the same time and the following conditions are met:

1. Each entrant has a fully completed Official Entry Form
2. All required fees on this Entry Form have been included in the cheque for full payment for all entrants
3. The teacher must complete the Entrants Summary Form which identifies the entrant and the fee being paid for those entrants.
4. This “bulk entry” is accompanied by a single cheque and not cash.

Teachers are reminded to read the Conditions of Entry very carefully to avoid any possible embarrassment. Particular attention is drawn to regulation 1.3 pertaining to “contact with the adjudicator”. All perceived problems with a student participating in the eisteddfod MUST be referred to the SESSION SUPERVISOR. There can be no discussions held with the adjudicator during the event by a teacher of eisteddfod entrants. Your co-operation in this matter is essential and appreciated by the committee, the adjudicator and those in attendance.

Don’t forget to have your music labelled with the Section No. and the Entrant No.
